MEET KARABO POPPY
Karabo Poppy Molestane is a South African illustrator, street artist and graphic designer, based in Johannesburg. Inspired by African aesthetics, her illustrations play with pattern, bold expressive lines and irregular type rendered in unconventional colour combinations.
For this collection, Karabo Poppy reimagines our scissors logo to metaphorically 'cut up' cultures, with bold designs inspired by her own heritage and 'Mother Tongue', Sesotho. “I always see African art presented in a very traditional sense, so I aimed to create something contemporary, and accurate, presented in a way people haven’t seen before."
