Unsere Story
In 2008 gründet Jason Denham seine gleichnamige Marke in Amsterdam, Niederlande.
2009: We open the first Denham store adjacent to our head office and design studio on Prinsengracht 493. We introduce our RE-CUT programme, which is eventually sold at Colette in Paris and American Rag in Los Angeles.
2010: We open our first store in Daikanyama, Japan. The opening ceremony is attended by Rin Tanaka of My Freedamn! We launch our House Guest Artist programme, inviting designers and studios to create bespoke artwork that reinterprets our iconic scissor logo. Denhamthejeanmaker.com launches; our website wins an award for its creative design from the Creative Review Annual 2010.
2011: Denham eröffnet seinen ersten Store in Großbritannien in Shoreditch, London.
2012: We open our debut DENHAM Women's store in the '9 Streets' area of Jordaan, Amsterdam.
2013: We opened several stores in Amsterdam. Our DENHAM flagship store opens on Hobbemastraat and the 'Coffee & Concept' store opens on the Prinsengracht.
We celebrate our fifth anniversary with the launch of 'Five Years in the Making,' a collectable coffee table book recollecting the last five years. We launch our Category 5 jeans collection, celebrating our classic five-pocket denim fit.
2014: We open new stores in Tokyo (women's boutique in Roppongi Hills and a flagship store in Omotesando Hills) and Amsterdam (women's denim bar on the Runstraat). The first DENHAM film, Denham Psycho, wins a Silver Award in the 'Viral' category at the Cannes Corporate Media TVTV Awards. We open our first store in Australia, at the Rocks in Sydney.
2015: We open new stores in Japan (Nagoya and Tokyo), Belgium (Antwerp and Aalst), the UK (Leeds), and the Netherlands (men's denim bar in Amsterdam). We open a flagship store in Düsseldorf, Germany. The second DENHAM film, The Jeanmaker, premieres at Amsterdam Denim Days.
2016: We open new stores in the Netherlands (Utrecht) and Germany (Hamburg).
2017: We open new stores in the Netherlands (The Hague and Utrecht) and a flagship store in Japan (Ginza, Tokyo). We enter the Chinese market with the opening of our first store in Shanghai, China.
2018: We open a new store in the Netherlands (Rotterdam). We introduce our exclusive furniture collaboration with Norr11 during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
2019: We move to our new head office by NDSM in Amsterdam North. Trendy Group acquires a majority stake in DENHAM and sets its sight on expansion in Asia.
2020: We launch our first biodegradable denim collection with our long-standing partner Candiani Denim. We team up with a leading US sportswear brand to launch a collection of iconic sneakers. We publish our first Sustainability Report that shares our performance during 2019 and outlines our future goals.
2021: We open our debut flagship store in Chengdu, China.
