HOUSE GUEST ARTIST
Each season, DENHAM invites designers and studios to collaborate on limited-edition collections. The project was created with the idea that the collaborators reinterpret DENHAM’s iconic scissor logo in new ways.
THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE HOUSE GUEST ARTIST SERIES IS SIMPLE. ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR, DENHAM INVITES DESIGNERS, ARTISTS AND STUDIOS TO COLLABORATE WITH US TO CREATE LIMITED-EDITION COLLECTIONS.
We reach out to exceptional creatives around the world, whose work and values we admire and connect with. We invite these creatives to create a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork that reimagines our iconic scissor logo, without compromising their unique vision. Then we integrate this new artwork into a special capsule collection, celebrating creativity at its best.
Ceizer is known for his simplistic and witty line drawings, hand lettering and bright, abstract compositions. Inspired in his youth by the colourful lettering of graffiti artists in his home city of Amsterdam.
The perfect artist to reinterpret DENHAM’s message, AIM HIGH and BETTER EVERY DAY, in his lighthearted signature style across a capsule collection of tees, sweats and denim. Encouraging us to be better every day, reaching for the best in everything we do.
#20 Dave Bonzai
UK-based Bonzai has been painting for more than 20 years. Becoming a part of the graffiti community during the heyday of hip-hop culture, he progressed from a traditional style of graffiti to his unique Liquid Chrome style.
His work captures the effects of mirroring the surroundings, with the environment influencing the colours and reflections in his designs. Bonzai's engaging graffiti embraces its environment, making his work unique in its own right
#19 Karski & Beyond
Karski and Beyond are a creative Dutch team crafting original, bright and colourful large scale graffiti murals. Working together since 2012, their combined backgrounds of graphic design and fine art academy are the foundation of their modern, conceptual and dynamic graffiti style.
Known for their authentic use of form, composition and vivid colour combinations, these are the building blocks of their work. Containing realistic, graphic and abstract elements, with surprising amounts of depth, they crafted unique paintings that tell a very modern story on the DENHAM logo, scissors and brand D.N.A.
We collaborated with Dutch illustrator Rick Berkelmans, the man behind the studio Hedof, whose striking illustrations create a thoughtful, well-balanced composition of candy-coloured sceneries. His unique style, which extends across everything from fun characters to sceneries and wonky shapes, reflects his positive attitude and view of the world. For Spring 2022, we created a capsule range featuring special artworks and prints Hedof designed that incorporate our iconic scissor logo.
#17 Laser 3.14
We collaborated with street artist Laser 3.14 once more for our 'AIM HIGH' capsule collection. “To me, Aim High means pushing for the best version of yourself or what you're trying to achieve. It means bringing passion to what you do and letting go of fears,” says Laser 3.14. We applied the tagline line Aim High and other mottos from Laser 3.14 to several of our t-shirts, caps and hoodies.
#16 BEN EINE
We teamed up with renowned street artist Ben Eine, who created a graphic design in his own ever-ubiquitous typographic style next to a limited-edition print, “Working Class Hero”, which was sold in our Amsterdam flagship store during an exclusive event.
#15 Petra Lunenberg / Vogue
In honour of Vogue’s annual Shopping Night Out, we asked illustrator Petra Lunenburg to create a bespoke illustration inspired by our scissor logo. Celebrating the art of dance, the line, the body, the movement and the scissor, the final design was printed on t-shirts to mark the event.
Amsterdam-based womenswear designer Pien Stieglitz created a collection which fused together our contemporary and urban aesthetic with her label’s bohemian style.
#13 DAILY PAPER
Amsterdam-based streetwear label Daily Paper applied its fascination with the rich heritage of African culture to our signature indigo palette and scissor logo to co-create a unique and eclectic collection. This included one-of-a-kind sweats, t-shirts and more.

#10 STUDIO 2501
Amsterdam-based Studio 2501 created an original video and as well a unique artwork motif which explored the themes and inspirations that drive his work. The video was unveiled in our Runstraat corner store that was transformed into an exhibition space during the Amsterdam Dance Event.
#9 Matt Moore
We asked graphic designer Matt Moore to incorporate our signature scissor logo into his optical-illusion, abstract geometry style. He developed the scissors into a dim anon camouflage pattern, which was used on the lining of the Advancer Parka, as well as on several t-shirts.
We asked Berlin-based tattoo artist Nick Kater, also known as NK, to recreate the custom-made scissor graphic tattoo he inked onto Berlin and 14oz legend Daniel Werner.
#7 Blueprint Amsterdam
Artist Celia Geraedts from Blueprint Amsterdam travelled to Japan where she created unique shibori dye effects by binding, stitching, fading and twisting fabric around scissors before dipping them in indigo dye baths. The dye swatches were then used as the foundation of a seasonal print, “The Fossil Print” which applied to several tops.
#6 Laser 3.14
Amsterdam based street artist LASER 3.14 created a range of t-shirts that celebrate our signature tagline and design mantra: ‘The Truth is in the Details’ and ‘Worship Tradition, Destroy Convention’ to celebrate our fifth anniversary.
